The Curriculum We Follow

The Outstanding Kids Fantasy Nursery follows a curriculum based on the British National Curriculum EYFS enhanced with Arabic, Islamic and French. At Kids Fantasy Nursery, the foundations are laid for lifelong learning. The uniqueness of every child is valued, by providing a structured curriculum which meets the needs of individuals.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum guides the learning and teaching process and helps us to establish an optimum learning environment in the class. We believe that to engage, achieve and make positive contributions students must be healthy, secure and safe. We value all of these needs and understand their contribution to the development of happy students in an enjoyable, encouraging and stimulating atmosphere.

The learning environment combines high standards with a broad and rich curriculum. The Early Learning Goals are standards in themselves and we strive to achieve them through a variety of play-based and structured activities striking a fine balance between both teacher- led and student-initiated play. Play underpins all development and learning for young children. Most children play spontaneously and it is through play that they develop intellectually, creatively, physically, socially and emotionally. The Key Learning Areas are integrated into our daily program through a variety of experiences and activities.

The seven key learning areas in the Foundation Stage are:

Prime areas

  • Communication and language
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, Social and emotional development

Specific areas

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the world
  • Expressive arts and designs

The Early Years Foundation Stage prepares students for the next steps in their education and empowers them to make informed choices. It further aims to develop their knowledge, understanding and appreciation of their own and different beliefs and cultures, and how these influence individuals. Education in early years is about students experiencing the joy of discovery, problem solving, being creative and developing their self-confidence as learners to grow intellectually, socially and emotionally.
