Discipline and Behavior Policy

The nursery aims to promote the sense of right and wrong in children by modelling the appropriate way to act and by discouraging unacceptable behavior. Staff believe that it is necessary to help children understand their own boundaries, and to explain to them why certain acts are considered inappropriate. The children are rewarded for their good deeds using a positive reinforcement system. Every child who displays good behavior and follows the procedures will be rewarded by a sticker that is displayed in the classroom. On the contrary, children who do not follow rules will be asked to take time out from the group.

Health Policy

• Sick children must rest at home and will not be admitted to the class.
• Children with head lice will be kept home until treated.
• Unhealthy food will be taken out of the lunch box and will be given back to the parent at the end of the day.
• Dirty clothes that are sent home should be washed and replaced with clean clothes the next day.

Pick Up Policy

On the registration form a section is found for the name of persons authorized to collect the child. In case of sudden changes a written note must be submitted to the principal in the morning. ID will be checked to ensure safety of children.

Discharge Policy

We aim to maintain a safe, healthy and happy environment therefore children will be dismissed for the following:

• Continuous aggressive behavior (e.g. biting, physical assault)
• Failure to meet Kids Fantasy Nursery policies
• Failure to pay nursery fees
• Inappropriate and disrespectful communication of parents with nursery staff
